That is one of the reasons I started this blog. I will take all the help I can get!

"The Corner Yard" blog, linked under the "gardening & etc blogs" list in my left-hand sidebar, is also in N. Georgia, so you might want to visit there. "Our Engineered Garden" (same list) is in NW Alabama; growing conditions there are similar to those here, so it is another good source of local gardening information.Amy W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14108368551894382300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8134341373474313620.post-4528952925582249942010-11-29T11:30:21.768-05:002010-11-29T11:30:21.768-05:00Your brocalli looks wonderful. My is a little behind in growth, but its nice to be able to look at another garden from my area and know that I am on target.Southern Sassafrasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03405503309850635529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8134341373474313620.post-10043482343995107682010-11-27T14:54:58.280-05:002010-11-27T14:54:58.280-05:00meemsnyc, Having food in the yard almost year roun...meemsnyc, Having food in the yard almost year round, even if it isn't always a lot of food, is one of the good things about living this far south. When we finally get a hard freeze (usually sometime in the last half of December), the herbs die back, along with everything else that isn't under cover, but the little tent over the greens keeps them going for a long time.

Have you read any of Elliot Coleman's books? I checked his book "Four Season Harvest" out from the local library one year, and it really helped me think about ways to get veggies from the yard in the colder months.

-AmyAmy W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14108368551894382300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8134341373474313620.post-88755939997708418432010-11-26T19:48:28.814-05:002010-11-26T19:48:28.814-05:00Your broccoli looks awesome! I didn't have any veggies growing anymore in the garden to allow this.meemsnychttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10584936035577822444noreply@blogger.com
