If the spuds are still tiny, I would definitely cover them. The freeze will knock back the green parts if you don't. After the freeze, we should have some more days that are warm enough for good growth.

My email address is amygwh at g mail dot com (reworked into standard email form...)Amy W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14108368551894382300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8134341373474313620.post-53624927924396378402010-11-04T21:18:19.387-04:002010-11-04T21:18:19.387-04:00I tried to find your email, but I can't so, I&...I tried to find your email, but I can't so, I'll post my question here - I did end up planting some potatoes, late. Do I need to cover them for the probable freeze?

Also, please see my blog for comments/questions on the general state of my garden at the moment. Thanks. I can't keep potted herbs over the winter either - not enough light, I think.

It looks like our first freeze will be tomorrow night. I was hoping for longer.owlfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16864203297228110988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8134341373474313620.post-33684075399890869222010-11-01T20:31:43.961-04:002010-11-01T20:31:43.961-04:00Here's hoping for NOT another winter like last...Here's hoping for NOT another winter like last year!Good idea on the potted herbs!Melodiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03795916460978775241noreply@blogger.com
